COLT, has achieved ISO 27001 certification, the globally recognised standard for managing information security. Covering COLT’s European data centres and network management and monitoring facilities, the certification is an independent endorsement of the highly efficient way in which COLT secures its operations and its services to customers. “Security is such an important issue for our customers today that many of them will only work with partners and vendors who have internationally recognised security certification,” said Paul Richman, Managing Director, Customer Service, Network and Operations at COLT. “With risk management right at the top of the corporate agenda, it is no longer good enough for telecom providers just to build security into their products. Customers want to know that the processes around the products and services are very rigorous and that we are serious about protecting their data. We are committed to running our entire European data centre and network operations with military precision and the new ISO 27001 certification is an important recognition of this focus.”
