Data Centre World - Call for papers PDF Print E-mail
Tuesday, 20 September 2011 10:22

Following Data Centre World’s move last year to London Olympia the conference and exhibition is now even bigger and better.

Our expanded conference programme in 2011 was such a success that we will continue to have three distinct theatres in 2012.

These theatres will be:

  • Facilities and infrastucture
(featuring power and cooling, cabling, networking, ups, data centre design, energy efficiency, physical security etc)

  • IT and management
(featuring software, servers, storage, applications, management, security etc)

  • Cloud and outsourcing
(featuring virtualization, managed services, web services etc)

If you would like to be part of the speaker programme, please send in the following information by Friday 30th September and we will then let you know if you have made the initial selection in the following weeks.

Any papers not initially selected will be put on a reserve list. Could you also please indicate which theatre you would like your presentation to be considered for.

Initially we require:

  1. Presentation title
  2. Brief synopsis
  3. Presentation length (max 40 minutes)
  4. Who should attend this session?
  5. What will delegates learn from this session?
  6. Why is this issue of interest to delegates?
  7. Proposed speaker biography
  8. Has this presentation been given before in the UK? If so, at which events?

Our research has shown that delegates would like to hear conference papers from other data centre managers, IT and data centre technical experts and analysts. The more informative and interesting the paper, the better reaction you will get at the event. Also if you are interested in putting together a panel session please let me know. If you have any other ideas, please let me know.

Hot topics for 2012 include cloud security, virualization and remote management, and we would welcome papers on these subjects, plus all those listed above from both the supply side and end users, or a combination of both.

Whilst we accept that part of the reason to present at DCW 2012 will be to promote company activities, presentations that are substantially sales pitches will be rejected, and we reserve the right to reject such conference papers at any point up to DCW 2012.

We will ask to see the presentations in advance of the conference. If you would like to find out about theatre sponsorship or exhibiting please contact Peter Herbert ( This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it ).

Last year’s event was a tremendous success and we are sure that 2012 will continue this trend.
