Black Box, the world’s largest technical services company dedicated to designing, building and maintaining today’s complicated network infrastructure systems, has won a competitive tender to continue to supply Reuters with cabling services across its UK data centres.  Under the terms of the agreement, Black Box will supply, install and manage all cabling in Reuters data centres for the next three years, building on an already successful seven year partnership.

Reuters, the global information company that provides information and software applications tailored for professionals in the financial services, media and corporate markets, will rely on Black Box’s services and products to ensure the timely delivery of all financial information to key customers. Black Box’s flexibility and innovation, together with its highly responsive service level agreements, were key to the successful tender.

“Over the years, Black Box has proved itself as a reliable and proactive partner,” commented Richard Black, UK Area Operations Manager, Reuters.  “They know our company, understand our infrastructure and appreciate the importance of ensuring a continuous service to our clients.  By working together, we will be able to provide customers with 100 percent network up time.”

“Reuters require a robust network infrastructure that can cope with the daily demands of providing global financial and corporate data to their clients,” explained Brendan Tobin, Black Box Managing Director. “By working proactively with Reuters, we can ensure that our highly skilled and flexible UK engineering team can meet the high demands of today’s large data centres.”
