Interxion has announced that Interxion London customers now have access to an ultra high-speed fibre-optic ring built and operated by Datahop. The ring will be used to provide high bandwidth IP transit and interlink services.
Datahop's 10 Gigabit/second ring network in London creates an ultra high-speed link offering direct 'Layer 2 connectivity' to the three Tier-1 carriers' networks of Telia, Tiscali and NTT. Interxion's customers will benefit from high availability, speed and cost efficiency of the connectivity, including multi-homing solutions. Fixed pricing is designed to save businesses the time and inconvenience required to negotiate connectivity agreements with multiple suppliers. “Our connectivity solutions enable Interxion customers to connect directly to multiple carriers,” says Datahop founder and Managing Director Chris Orme. “Providing them with direct access to the 10 Gigabit/second fibre ring we further enhance their choices and improve reliability of connectivity.”
