Dell and IDC today released the results of a new survey that show that nearly half (46 percent) of information technology buyers in the UK already have a Green IT strategy in place, while another quarter plan to implement one within the next 24 months. The results suggest that Green IT is a mainstream business concern in the UK.
The results put UK organisations well above the European average as surveyed by IDC, but second behind German companies, which reported the highest level of Green IT maturity, with 50 percent having already implemented a Green IT strategy. Still, UK organisations top Nordic, French and Italian organisations which are at 36 percent, 34 percent and 24 percent respectively.
