Business Internet Service Provider (ISP) and web host, Merula, has opened its first purpose-built data centre in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire to meet a growing need for hosting space outside London. Merula’s founder and managing director, Richard Palmer explains: “With the reduction of space and availability in our London data centres, coupled with the massive price increases over the past few years, we decided to invest over £1 million developing a state-of-the-art data centre in the heart of East Anglia.” It has been designed so we can provide a reliable and friendly hosting service for companies large and small. The centre meets all requirements for all companies – from those who just need a single server (or virtual server) to those requiring multiple racks with full hands-on management.”
